The Masters Program

NBTA Members:
This is your personal invitation to join us for the 2009 Masters Program, the premier executive forum for leaders of the corporate travel industry. The 2009 program will be held February 17th - 19th at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC.

Register by November 3rd to receive a $100 discount off the $1,195 registration fee for corporate travel suppliers, and corporate travel buyers will receive a $100 discount off the $695 registration fee. Please note that Corporate Travel Managers attending The Masters will receive one CCTE elective credit.

Each year The Masters Program offers a unique opportunity for leaders in the travel industry to come together in an exclusive executive forum to exchange ideas with the people and companies shaping the future of corporate travel. The 2009 Masters continues this tradition of excellence. Now in its seventeenth year, The Masters is pleased to partner again with the National Business Travel Association (NBTA).

The 2009 program will include dynamic industry leaders candidly discussing issues facing the travel industry, while providing you with even more time to network with your colleagues and buyers. While the 2009 Masters Program Board is currently formulating the agenda, we have added some new formats to this year's program.

  • Welcome Networking Reception – Over the years, you have requested more networking time, and we're listening! On the evening of Tuesday, February 17th prior to the start of the program, we will host a welcome networking reception. Plan to arrive on Tuesday afternoon.
  • Breakout Sessions – During the program on both Wednesday, February 18th, and Thursday, February 19th, we will conduct breakout groups to enable deeper discussions on specific topics. On Wednesday, we will organize five breakout groups based on industry topics, and on Thursday, we will enable industry vendors to host and sponsor product showcase breakouts.

We are lining up a first-class roster of global leaders and leading buyers to provide insights and create an engaging, interactive forum. Below is a snapshot:

  • John Heimlich, Chief Economist, Air Transportation Association – Airline Outlook
  • Priyan Fernando, President & Chief Operating Officer, American Express Business Travel – Global Travel Distribution Outlook
  • Stewart Verdery, Partner & Founder, Monument Policy Group – Top Legal and Legislative Issues for Corporate Travel
  • Jake Fuller, Managing Director, Thomas Weisel Partners LLC – Wall Street Perspective: Travel Distribution & Lodging

Attendance at The Masters Program is by invitation only, with an equal balance of corporate travel buyers with travel suppliers, agencies, and technology vendors.
