Business Travel Outlook 2009 and Beyond
 Travel professionals from around the world convened in Portland, Oregon, last month for the Travel Industry Association’s 2008 Marketing Outlook Forum. The 600 attendees, representing hotels, airlines, attractions, and tourism offices were keenly interested in the economy’s impact on travel, and what they can expect the next few years to bring.

What Will the Obama Administration Mean for Business Travel?
 NBTA hosted a NetSmart web seminar recently on what the new Obama Administration may mean for the corporate travel community and what actions may be taken on outstanding political issues related to travel and tourism. C. Stewart Verdery, Jr., Partner and Founder of Monument Policy Group, LLC and NBTA Government Relations consultant provided NBTA members provided insight into what travel buyers and suppliers should expect under the next U.S. Administration. NBTA Members Look Back at 2008
In the “Industry Insights” section of the NBTA Business Travel Quarterly Q4 edition, a section in which an industry question is asked of handful of NBTA Members, members were asked to reflect on their greatest accomplishments of 2008. The response this quarter was overwhelming, attesting to the fact that corporate travel professionals met the challenges of this year head on and are proud of their hard work to further their careers and the business travel industry.
