Technology Committee

Mission

The Technology Committee’s mission is to review, develop, and distribute information and to educate NBTA Members regarding business travel management and related technology issues, trends, and developments affecting the travel management industry.

Objectives

  • To assist with identification of the technology needs and expectations of NBTA Members
  • To support training and professional development on technology issues in the association's education forums and chapter seminars as needed
  • To act as the technology voice of NBTA members to the external world

Committee Application


On-site Meetings 4 Annual (hosted by various committee members) We try to schedule one East Coast, one West Coast, and one Central meeting for the convenience of all of the committee members. One meeting per year is always held at NBTA Headquarters in Alexandria, VA.
Conference Calls 7 one-hour calls Usually the 2nd Friday of the month
Convention Annual Technology Committee supports the Tech Pavilion and various education sessions
Term Committee members serve for a term of 2 years (a year starts from NBTA Convention to next Convention).
Minimum Attendance Expectations 3 On-site meetings and 5 conference calls per year (Convention to Convention).
