Future Skies
The stage is set for a dramatic change in the airline industry which will have a direct impact on travel programs.  Key industry figures (below) discussed the present stage and what the future might look like once the new EU-U.S. open skies policy filters through.  In addition, the panel considered topics such as price and choice in the airline industry, the impact of low cost carriers, congestion and future plans for Heathrow, and environmental concerns.

APIS, RT and PNR: What do they mean to you? | Slides
APIS, RT and PNR are acronyms that we do not use in our everyday language of being a travel manager. However, they are important to understand because they will eventually affect you as a manager and the security and privacy of your traveler. This session provided an overview of the variety of air travel security programs in the EU and the United States, including the Advance Passenger Information System (APIS), Passenger Name Record (PNR) and the Registered Traveler (RT) program.

Companies Act 2006 Presentation | Slides
Surprise mini-session presented by business travel journalist Tricia Holly Davis on the Companies Act 2006. As of 1 October 2007, UK law will require company directors to consider the environmental impact of their business decisions. The presentation offered the first overview of the new law given at any business travel industry forum.
