Keynote Speaker: Jean-Pierre Remy, CEO, Expedia Corporate Travel

Prior to his position as President of Expedia Corporate Travel, Jean-Pierre Remy headed up Expedia Corporate Travel in Europe. In 2000, Mr. Remy founded Egencia, a start-up that grew into one of the major players and leaders in online corporate travel in Europe. The company was acquired by IAC/InterActive Corporation in April 2004.

Before creating Egencia, Mr Remy was Vice President at Bain & Company where he advised large international companies on their growth strategies, new ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and reorganizations. Between 1993 and 2000, he served as consultant for a number of global companies focusing on strategic development of business services and technology.

Between 1986 and 1993, Mr Remy served as Managing Director of the technology consulting company CM International, founded in 1986.

Mr. Remy graduated from Ecole Centrale in Paris and received his Ph.D. from HEC in Strategy & Business Management.

Keynote Speaker: David Radcliffe, CEO, Hogg Robinson Group, UK

David Radcliffe joined Hogg Robinson (Travel) Ltd as a branch manager in 1978 and progressed quickly through the company until being appointed Chief Executive in 1997. He successfully fought off a hostile approach in 1999 which led to a management buy out in 2000. Over the last six years, Radcliffe has completely reshaped the business from a corporate and employee services company encompassing pensions software and pensions payments processing, employee benefits and consulting, and corporate travel, to one which is now totally focused on providing a range of corporate services related to the business travel sector.

Swain has held several positions in Marketing since joining Northwest Airlines in 1997. He has extensive experience in Pacific and Atlantic Revenue Management including a 3-year assignment in Amsterdam as Manager of Atlantic Yield Management. Most recently, Swain held the position of Director of Reservations Planning and Analysis.

Swain holds a Bachelors degree in mathematics from Hamilton College and a MBA from the Fuqua School at Duke University.

Keynote Speaker: Gregor Lochtie, Vice President and General Manager China, CITS American Express Business Travel, China

Gregor Lochtie was appointed the Vice President and General Manager, China of CITS American Express Business Travel in April 2006, overseeing American Express’ business travel joint venture and business travel development in China.

In this role, he is responsible for building American Express’ platform and network to meet the demands of this rapidly growing market. During his time in China, Gregor has focused on enhancing service delivery to meet global standards, improving value for our customers through strengthened account management teams, and continuing to drive the rapid growth of M.I.C.E business in China.

Since joining American Express in 1986, Gregor has assumed a number of roles in Asia, and has extensive market experience. Prior to his current appointment, Gregor was Vice President and Head of Global Commercial Cards in Japan, accountable for leading acquisitions, account and partnership development, product strategy, and marketing. In this role, he was credited with transforming Japan’s Commercial Card business into a profitable organisation. Gregor also previously worked as Head of Global Commercial Card in Greater China with an impressive track record for success.

Gregor holds a Diploma of Laws from the University of Sydney and is currently based in Shanghai.

With a 25-year career in the industry, Mr. Smith offers extensive experience in both sales and marketing.  Formerly with Delta Air Lines, he has lead sales teams in several major U.S. markets including Houston, Dallas/Ft. Worth and New York City.  In 1997, Mr. Smith was promoted to Director of Sales for Delta’s international efforts, and while based in the airline’s regional office in London, he oversaw staff in 40 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India.  In 2001, he was promoted to Delta’s Atlanta Headquarters as Managing Director of Worldwide Sales, where he was responsible for all field sales efforts.  In 2003, he assumed responsibility for all corporate revenues produced worldwide.

Mr. Morry Morgan is the General Manager and Co-founder of ClarkMorgan Corporate Training which was awarded “Training Firm of the Year” in 2007 at the 10th Anniversary China Staff Awards.

He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, an Advanced Certificate in Business Management, an Advanced Certificate in Chinese (Mandarin) and also an MBA from the University of Strathclyde. Specializing in providing presentation, sales and negotiation skills training, Morry has been a guest speaker at numerous events, including the 2006 Australia-China Conference, the 2007 AmCham Shanghai Education & Training Conference, 2007 Mindmeta Symposium “Lost in Translation”, and has addressed members at the European Chamber of Commerce and the Australian Chamber of Commerce.

Morry has also been the Master of Ceremonies for Project Hope Charity, and he has trained over 400 China-based staff in presentation skills. He has conducted training at the following companies across China: Akzo Nobel, Bristol-Myers Squibb, ST Microelectronics, WWF, Delphi, GSK, Philips, Bayer Pharmaceutical, Nike, the Australian Consulate, MOL Shipping, Unilever, Adidas, Alcatel, the Shangri-La Hotel and Fortis.

Prior to working in China, Morry was trained in Australia as a senior sales representative for one of the top five pharmaceutical companies in the world.
