For most companies, travel is the second largest controllable expense after salaries & benefits. The Fundamentals of Business Travel Management course is NBTA’s starter course focusing on the basics of business travel management.  This one day workshop is designed as a guide to the primary components of managed travel.  It has been structured and formatted to appeal to travel professionals in the Asia Pacific region with its fast growing volume of business travel.

Attendees will learn how each component intersects with the required competencies and skill sets needed in business travel management. The Fundamentals course teaches participants to maximize cost containment, improve efficiency and create a managed travel culture in a company.  This inaugural CTE course at IT&CMA, CTW has been regionalized for the Asia Pacific region and especially organized for buyers and suppliers in the region. The one day course will take place on 6 October. Opportunity to sit for the exam will take place the following day, 7 October in the morning.

The CTE course will include a complete workbook from which will students will reference elements of the course and later use as a valuable resoure tool. Attendees will interact with an expert course facilitator on the subjects of travel safety and security, travel spending trends and benchmark metrics and other aspects of business travel management.  An overview of business travel technology will be included along with a comprehensive discussion on travel policy, savings opportunities and calculating the (ROI) of a managed travel program.

What is the CTE designation? 

Attendees who successfully complete the Fundamentals of Business Travel Management course will be eligible to earn the Corporate Travel ExpertSM (CTE) designation by passing the CTE exam. A handsome certificate of completion will be awarded once the student successfully passes the exam. Carrying the CTE designation following your name shows that you have mastered the fundamental tenets of corporate travel management. Many hundreds of business travel professionals have successfully taken this course in the United States of America and Canada under the exclusive direction of NBTA. Multiple graduates from such corporations as Continental Airlines, Concur Technology and Travelocity Business have proven this course a success in providing a basic knowledge of business travel management.
