Mexico City (December 3, 2007) -- NBTA Mexico -- the only Mexican organization dedicated to providing education and professional resources for corporate travel professionals and a regional affiliate of the National Business Travel Association (NBTA), a global organization -- on Friday held an Education Day in Mexico City for business travel professionals. Seventy (70) attendees took part in the one-day event at the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel and Towers in Reforma. Participants learned about Air Fare Structure Analysis and Data Collection.

NBTA Mexico Regional Director, Rodolfo C. Macedo Jiménez, said, “The NBTA Mexico Education Day provided exactly the type of information on travel management that the Mexican business market has been asking for. This is a perfect example of why NBTA Mexico was formed -- to offer professional education that advances the field of travel management within Mexico and helps travel managers and suppliers provide value for their companies. I was proud to be part of this event, and I look forward to future initiatives of NBTA Mexico.”

Friday’s Education Day was the first event since the official formation of NBTA Mexico in July. Earlier in the year, the global NBTA organization, based in the United States, had held both a Corporate Travel Conference and an Education Day in Mexico City. The overwhelming positive response to those events led to the creation of NBTA Mexico as an independent, buyer-led, Mexico-focused organization within the global NBTA network.

NBTA Mexico’s next event will be the 2nd NBTA Mexico Corporate Travel Conference, January 21-23, 2008, at the Hotel Nikko, Mexico City. For information and registration, see www.nbtamexico.org.
