Alexandria, Virginia, and London, England (October 3, 2007) - The National Business Travel Association (NBTA) welcomed more than 70 business travel professionals to the NBTA UK Corporate Travel Think Tank in London on September 28, 2007. Attendees from all over Europe and the United States actively participated in discussions on the most important industry topics for today’s travel management community. The format of the event allowed buyers and suppliers to participate openly and ask key questions about topics such as open skies, air travel security in and between the United States and the EU, and GDS deregulation. The day also included a lively discussion between three top buyers about new trends and responsibilities in travel management.

NBTA President & CEO Kevin Maguire, CCTE, at the UK Corporate Travel Think Tank.

The day ended with an additional surprise mini-session presented by business travel journalist Tricia Holly Davis on the Companies Act 2006. As of 1 October 2007, UK law will require company directors to consider the environmental impact of their business decisions. The presentation was the first overview of the new law given at any business travel industry forum.
