Brisbane (September 26, 2007) -- NBTA Asia Pacific -- the leading organisation for corporate travel professionals in the Asia Pacific region, and part of the National Business Travel Association (NBTA), the world’s premier business travel organisation -- announced the 2007 winners of its annual Excellence Awards and this year’s graduates from the Certified Business Travel Executive (CBTE) program. The announcements were made last week in Brisbane, during the twelfth annual NBTA Asia Pacific Regional Conference.

The NBTA Asia Pacific Excellence Awards, now in their twelfth year, reward and foster leading practices and practitioners in the field of business travel management. Entries in a variety of categories are judged for demonstrable excellence, measurable success and outstanding outcomes. An Overall Winner is selected from the entries in all categories.
The overall winner receives a business-class ticket to the United States to attend the 2008 NBTA International Convention & Exposition courtesy of Excellence Awards Sponsor Qantas Airways, as well as complimentary registration and complimentary room-only hotel accommodations for the conference. The NBTA International Convention & Exposition, held in various cities around the United States for the last 39 years, is the leading business travel industry event in the world. More than 6,200 attendees come from 30 countries to take advantage of the unparalleled industry education, expo and networking.

CBTE
The Certified Business Travel Executive (CBTE), launched in 2004, is NBTA Asia Pacific’s recognized industry certification program for corporate travel professionals. Participants accrue points for successful participation in industry events and programs, and upon earning the requisite numbers of points are awarded the designation CBTE.
