NBTA Honors USA Today’s Roger Yu with Business Travel Journalism Award

New York, NY (March 26, 2007) -- The National Business Travel Association (NBTA) today presented its 2007 Alan Fredericks Business Travel Journalism Award to Roger Yu, USA Today Business Travel Reporter. Yu was honored for his coverage of a wide variety of industry topics of interest to business travelers and industry professionals alike, including: the rising cost travel and how companies manage those increasing costs, changing air travel security rules, changes major hotel chains are making in their services and business models, airlines’ personal technologies offerings, airline mergers, changing passport rules, lost luggage, airport parking, powering electronic devices at airports, the Very Light Jet market, and changes being made at airports around the world. The award was presented at the NBTA Business Travel Financial Forum, held today in New York to give participants “A Wall Street Look at the Business of Business Travel.”

This is the first time NBTA has presented the Alan Fredericks Business Travel Journalism Award. The award is intended to recognize the important role of media in the business travel industry by honoring an outstanding travel journalist or editor whose work over the last 12-18 months has done the most to enlighten corporate travel professionals, the business community, and/or the general public about important topics is business travel, and has done so in a way that is generally beneficial for and supportive of the industry.
