Houston, TX (March 8, 2006) – Forty-nine travel managers and suppliers gather in Houston this week for five days of intensive study in the National Business Travel Association’s (NBTA) Certified Corporate Travel Executive (CCTE) program.   Core Week 2, the second week-long session requirement in the curriculum, is offered in conjunction with the University of Houston Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management.  The CCTE is the travel industry’s only certification course offered to corporate travel managers and suppliers.

To earn the CCTE designation, participants must complete two Core Week sessions, lasting five days each, and five one-day electives. The program is designed for business travel management professionals who want to enhance their knowledge, skills and productivity. The CCTE is recognized throughout the corporate travel industry as a designation of excellence and professionalism.

NBTA’s CCTE program, open to anyone with two years of current experience in the business travel field, helps students understand future trends and directions in corporate travel, improve systems and approaches to management techniques, enhance their company’s financial and strategic goals and achieve professional development to aid in functioning more productively within corporate cultures.  Core Week 2 specifically focuses on business writing, conflict resolution, risk management, decision tools, yield management, learning styles and managerial techniques.

Upcoming CCTE programs include:
