NBTA President and CEO Suzanne Fletcher expressed, “On behalf of NBTA, I would like to congratulate Kevin, Brian and Richard for being recognized by Business Travel News for exemplary contributions to the travel management industry.  Their efforts have demonstrated the importance of managed travel and raised the bar for corporate travel programs in the future.  I am also pleased to count all three of these influential industry figures as leaders within NBTA.”

Each year, Business Travel News acknowledges the work of 25 professionals in corporate travel for their influence in the industry.  This year, three NBTA members joined the ranks of top airline officials, directors of government agencies and innovative entrepreneurs on the list.  Maguire, an NBTA Board Member, is recognized for his participation in a consortium of 12 mid-market companies that successfully negotiated collective bargaining agreements with car rental companies, hotels and other travel service providers.  Nichols, NBTA Hotel Committee Chair, is included on the list for his leadership in producing the committee’s whitepaper on hotel rate loading guidelines.  Wooten, a member of the Board of Trustees of NBTA’s foundation, the Institute of Business Travel Management, is recognized for his influence within the industry.  Wooten was earlier named Business Travel News’ 2005 Travel Manager of the Year.

The National Business Travel Association is the source for critical information on the business travel industry. For more than 35 years, NBTA has dedicated itself to the professional development of its members through advocacy, education and training, and networking opportunities.
