Alexandria, VA (October 14, 2005) -- The National Business Travel Association (NBTA) is once again informing business decision-makers about the value travel managers bring to their companies. In an ad in the October 17 issue of Time magazine’s Business Edition, NBTA asks readers “Leaving money on the table?” and answers, “If you don’t have a managed travel program, you probably are.”
The ad goes on to explain:
Corporate travel is one of the largest controllable expenses on your balance sheet. A well-managed corporate travel program directly impacts your bottom line by:
- Maximizing your travel investment
- Ensuring travel policy compliance
- Generating savings through increased bargaining power
It invites readers to contact NBTA by phone or online for more information about the value of managed travel.
“As the leading representative of the corporate travel industry, part of NBTA’s mission is to inform corporate leaders about the value travel managers bring to the table,” said NBTA President and CEO Suzanne Fletcher. “The Time magazine ad builds on our ongoing efforts to meet that goal.”
This is the second NBTA ad in Time in the last 18 months. Another ad will run in the magazine’s Business Edition next month. The Business Edition uses subscriber information to target a business audience and reaches 9.8 million readers in that category. NBTA also worked this year with BusinessWeek on a series of special sections highlighting managed travel, and NBTA spokespeople are frequently quoted in media reports touting travel management.
The Leaving money on the table? message is bolstered by the well-known logos of companies that have signed up for NBTA’s most substantial sponsorship packages at the 2006 NBTA International Convention & Exposition, July 16-19 in Chicago: American Express, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Cliqbook, Diners Club International, DoubleTree, Empire International Ltd. Chauffeured Transportation, Expedia Corporate Travel, GetThere, Orbitz for Business/TravelPORT, Skyteam, Star Alliance, and Travelocity Business. Readers are urged to attend “the travel management education and networking event of the year.”
