Business Travel News recognized Wooten for his outstanding achievements leading the corporate travel department at Lockheed Martin throughout the past year. During this time, Lockheed Martin automated its trip pre-approval, alerts and ticket exchange processes, negotiated corporate discounts with a low-cost airline and expanded its corporate travel policy to include 23 countries.
The three winners of Meeting Today’s Best Practitioners of 2004-2005 awards were selected from a group of nominees whose meetings management programs showed verifiable results beginning in 2004. Each winner demonstrated effective means of successfully addressing key industry issues including meetings procurement, measurement and communication.
