NBTA Mission & Strategic Plan

Mission Statement

The National Business Travel Association (NBTA) is the collective and authoritative voice of business travel management. We provide a forum for the constructive exchange of information and ideas among members. We are dedicated to enhancing the educational advancement and image of the profession and our members.

NBTA Strategic Plan

NBTA and its affiliated organizations are the authoritative voice of the global business travel community, promoting relationships between travel buyers and service providers. The Association’s recently revised Strategic Plan is aimed at enhancing membership services, information and education. The plan includes increased focus on expanding NBTA’s advocacy and international efforts.

Specific goals of the plan include to: 

  • promote effective communication between members
  • become the principal resource for legislators and policymakers, providing information resources and experts on business travel issues
  • create greater access to quality educational programs
  • diversify association revenues
  • expand membership
  • increase the Association’s global presence
  • develop industry benchmarks and standards
